engelbert humperdinck does a cover of Goodbye my Lover. I like the song too, but it really doesnt match James Blunt’s voice. Engelbert Humperdinck is kind of cheesy but has a more classic vocal style.
my second choice of these would be Dreaming with a Broken Heart (but I do see it used quite often for solos)
